Dr. Brenna Roden, D.C.
Dr. Brenna Roden graduated with honors from Life University with her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2020. She went on to complete the rigorous six-month professional animal chiropractic program through Options for Animals, which included intensive in-person instruction, extensive additional coursework and homework, section examinations, and comprehensive graduation requirements. Upon successful completion of the program, Dr. Roden earned her certification through the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA). Maintaining this international certification requires ongoing continuing education to remain current in the field.
Dr. Roden is trained in a variety of chiropractic techniques, allowing her to individualize care based on the needs of each patient. Her training includes Diversified Full Spine, Thompson Technique, Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Webster Technique, Activator Methods, Logan Basic Technique, pediatric and prenatal care, and therapeutic modalities. She also holds Georgia certification in Electrical and Therapeutic Modalities.
In addition to chiropractic care, Dr. Roden is a Certified Medical Examiner listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) and is certified to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations for commercial motor vehicle drivers. She also performs athletic and sports physical examinations.
Dr. Roden enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has a particular passion for pediatric, prenatal, and special-needs care. Originally from North Alabama, she and her family have called Cartersville, Georgia, home for the past 12 years.
Dr. Roden and her husband are the proud parents of two children, Eason, their ten-year-old son, and Collyns, their seven-year-old daughter. Her experience as a mother has had a profound influence on both her career and the way she approaches patient care.
One of the areas closest to Dr. Roden’s heart is caring for individuals with special needs. She credits much of her passion for serving individuals of all abilities to her son Eason, who was born rocking an extra chromosome, also known as Down syndrome.
During her pregnancy with Eason, Dr. Roden and her husband learned at 12 weeks that their baby would most likely be born with Down syndrome and was, in fact, born with Down syndrome in January of 2016. This journey ultimately changed the direction of Dr. Roden’s life and career.
At just four months old, Eason struggled with relentless constipation and was unable to have a bowel movement without the use of laxatives and suppositories. Dr. Roden decided to take him to a chiropractor, and she witnessed a remarkable change following his adjustment. Before they had even left the office, Eason was able to have a bowel movement without the measures they had previously relied upon.
That life-altering experience sparked Dr. Roden’s desire to learn more about chiropractic care and how she could support children and other individuals with special needs. She began researching, studying, and seeking out every pediatric and individual educational opportunity available to her. She ultimately enrolled at Life University and began her journey toward becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, with a particular focus on pediatric and individual special-needs care.
Today, Dr. Roden’s passion extends beyond providing chiropractic care. She has a special place in her heart for families who are navigating a prenatal or birth diagnosis of Down syndrome or other special needs. Having walked that journey herself, she understands how overwhelming it can be for parents to suddenly find themselves navigating a new diagnosis while trying to determine what resources, therapies, services, and support their child may need.
Because of this, Lost Mountain Chiropractic strives to be more than simply a place families come for care. Dr. Roden and her team work to help connect families with organizations, programs, and community resources that can support their child and family from the very beginning. This may include helping families connect with state and local resources such as Babies Can’t Wait, GiGi’s Playhouse, Down syndrome networks, Parent to Parent programs, county and state organizations, and other resources specific to their child’s needs.
Her goal is to help families feel supported, informed, and connected so they can access the resources available to them and give their children the strongest possible start in life.
Whether caring for a newborn, a growing child, an expectant mother, an athlete, an adult, or a patient with special needs, Dr. Roden believes that every patient deserves individualized care, compassion, and a provider who truly listens.
